Basketball

Here is a picture of the basketball gym in Fabriano. We are about a 5 minute drive away.

There are a couple of pictures of Tony playing basketball. One is of the team warming up at home and the other is a picture of them celebrating after an away win in Pesero. Their away uniforms are royal blue with neon green numbers- they are not very cute.

Fabriano Pictures

Here are a few pictures of where we live. Unfortunately, I cannot get a good picture of the city center. I am working on it.

We live on the second floor of this house. It is a 2 bedroom apartment, with 1 bathroom, a large living room, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and working oven. For those of you who knew what our kitchen was like last year, you understand on how excited I am about that. We are fortunate enough that Tony's team is sponsored by a kitchen appliance manufacturing company, called Indesit. Therefore, we can get pretty much anything. The only downside of this apartment, besides living about 10 minutes from the city center, is the couple that lives below us. They are a bit loud and inconsiderate.

These are our cars. The silver one, aka 'the good one', is the one that I mostly drive. The blue one is the one that Tony drives, which he shouldn't even be doing because at any minute the car sounds like it is going to explode.

Welcome!!!

Welcome to our blog!!! Some friends of ours inspired us to create this blog so that you can get an idea of what our lives are like while living in Italy.

This year is Tony's fifth year in the Italian basketball league, whereas, this is my second full-time year. We have been fortunate to experience 'basketball' life all over the country: north, south, east, west- you name it Tony's lived there. This year, we have landed in a town called Fabriano. It is a small, sleepy town that is tucked away in the hills of the Marche region. It is about a 2-2.5 hour to either Rome or Florence and it is about 45 minutes from Ancona and the Adriatic Coast. So pretty much, as you can see, it is the middle of nowhere.

We are looking at this year as yet another experience that we have been so fortunate to have. We hope that you enjoy this blog and hopefully it will be updated regularly.
